I tried a new cream blush this week that made me pause mid-application and go, wait… why hasn’t everyone been doing this? It’s the MD Solar Sciences Cheek Crème with SPF 30, and it’s one of those genius products that just makes sense once you think about it.

Here’s the thing: the tops of our cheeks are prime real estate for sun exposure. It’s where the sun hits first, where freckles and brown spots love to show up, and (ironically) where we almost never apply sunscreen once makeup enters the chat. But if you’re already putting blush there every day… why not let it do double duty?

This blush blends in beautifully (like, truly melts into the skin), gives a soft flush without screaming “blush blindness” and adds SPF right where we need it most. I used the shade Magic Hour (the only one I stocked for now) and it’s an easy, universally flattering color that works even when you’re doing the bare minimum. Which, let’s be honest, is most days for me. Looking for a little added color on your nose or lips too?? It cand do it. Efficient. Effective.

If you've got little rough, goosebump-like bumps on your upper arms, thighs, or cheeks that never quite go away, you're likely dealing with keratosis pilaris. It's a super common (and completely harmless) skin condition where keratin, the protein that makes up your skin, builds up and plugs hair follicles, creating those telltale bumps. It's genetic, more common in people with dry skin or eczema, and tends to flare in winter. There's no permanent cure, but there is something that genuinely helps: urea.
