Does Your Cleanser Need to Foam?

There's a new cleanser I’ve been curious about: the Naturium Multi-Calm Cream Cleanser.

When I hear cream cleanser, my brain immediately goes to “okay, so this is a makeup remover, right?” Soft, gentle, probably nice… but will it actually clean my face? That’s why I wanted to try it to find out.

First impression: this formula is stacked in the best way. Oatmeal to soothe, squalene and glycerin to hydrate, panthenol (vitamin B) to support the skin barrier. A big callout for it, it even has the National Eczema Association seal, which instantly makes my sensitive-skin radar relax a bit. At first impression, the formula feels creamy without being heavy, and comforting without leaving that weird film some gentle cleansers do.

After testing it, I get the why it has the seal of approval. It cleans without stripping, calms without clogging, and honestly? It’s one of those products that makes sense beyond your face. I kept thinking how good this would feel in the shower, especially in colder months or if your skin leans dry, reactive, or just tired of being bullied by harsh cleansers.

The biggest takeaway here: not every cleanser needs to foam to be effective. Cream cleansers like this one are amazing multitaskers great at the sink, great in the shower, great for face and body. Pro Tip this product would be especially clutch if you live in a dry climate or deal with sensitivity.

If your skin has been asking for a little extra kindness lately, this is your reminder that gentle can still be effective.
