The other day, I was getting ready and had that very specific thought: I just need a little something. Not a full lipstick moment. Nothing high-maintenance. Just… a little bit of color. And hydration of course. 

So I grabbed this balm from Finding Ferdinand in the shade Frambois (raspberry) — and I figured I’d show you because it surprised me in the best way.

First of all, in the tube? It looks dark. Like, “am I about to commit to a bold lip on a Tuesday at 9am?” dark.

But when you put it on? Completely different story.

It melts into this sheer, buildable wash of color that makes your lips look alive and healthy, not overdone. That’s the magic of their Delicious Balm formula. It’s super hydrating, dermatology-tested, non-irritating, and safe for all skin types (yes, even my sensitive girls). It gives you moisture first, color second. And that’s exactly how I like it.

This balm is packed to be moisturizing, and you can absolutely build it up if you want more color. 

Their Delicate Gloss is non-sticky (this is important), infused with marula oil and nyamplung seed oil, and gives that glassy finish without the tacky, hair-stuck-to-your-lips situation. On its own it’s soft and shiny. On top of the balm? Chef’s kiss.

If you've got little rough, goosebump-like bumps on your upper arms, thighs, or cheeks that never quite go away, you're likely dealing with keratosis pilaris. It's a super common (and completely harmless) skin condition where keratin, the protein that makes up your skin, builds up and plugs hair follicles, creating those telltale bumps. It's genetic, more common in people with dry skin or eczema, and tends to flare in winter. There's no permanent cure, but there is something that genuinely helps: urea. Pair it with a gentle physical or chemical exfoliant a few times a week (think lactic acid or a soft body scrub), but don't layer them at the same time, as this can be irritating. If using on sun-exposed areas, follow up with SPF; exfoliating ingredients can increase UV sensitivity. Things to keep in mind Urea can cause stinging on broken, cracked, or very sensitive skin ... patch test first. Results vary between people; KP is persistent, and some cases respond better than others.
